FFS, ign.com!

...don't try to force me to download a new version of shockwave just to display a 404 error!

Jeez - talk about antisocial!

The weekend is coming up Dude!

Hopefully a chance to get an extra hour or two's sleep over the weekend.

As for having a 404 page which requires the latest version of shockwave to display - I agree with you that this is very antisocial.

Personally I didn't think it was possible, I can't even get a hypertext link on my 404 page. Mind you that's because I don't know PHP or whatever the 404 pages are written in, even if I could generate shockwave files I certainly wouldn't subject someone to it on a 404 page.

Whatever next!!!!!

George

I don't want to know why you were looking at

www.ffs.com

'creators and manufacturers of flavors and fragrances for industrial applications'.

As for me I was curious to generate a 404 page.

Oh okay - so I made an error: It wasn't igs.com, it was http://www.ign.com/ - and I was pointed to a link there that was outdated, hence the 404. THe page title *knew* it was a 404 (IE's title bar reflected that, but it still pushed loads of shockwave in my face as part of it. After trying to force me to upgrade to the latest version of sjhockwave so I could veiw their advert properly.

Oh - the 'FFS' was a sweary comment, dude - not part of the url! :)
