Really not convinced by Google's new favicon. Not clean and not simple.

But it is quirky. Which is how Google like to be seen.

Although I'm not sure Google can convincingly depict themselves as being quirky any more. They're practically a monopolist. (c.f. Starbucks.)

Then again, given the amount of information Google have on me... "quirky" is not a word that should be in mind when encountering the phrase "privacy policy", in the same way that you should check your wallet when someone describes their accountancy methods as being "innovative".

Maybe they're having a mid-life crisis, and embracing their inner teenage girl LJ user.

Maybe I didn't get enough sleep last night and I'm ranting.

google.co.uk, which is what I use, still has a nice blue g.
