Elsewhere on LJ ghoti (Here, in fact) is doing a meme-thang where she was telling people (amongst other factoids,) the one word that she associates with them.

My word is 'avuncular', and she's used that word to describe me before. Not too shocking, admittedly, but apparently she's not the only one who thinks like that: A recent 'blind obs' of me on Monochrome BBS went:

"Archon: Like some mad, jolly old uncle who I picture sitting in a big armchair by the fire getting plastered on port and telling hilarious but exceedingly rude jokes in front of his young nephews and nieces."

Oh, and did I mention, that good few people have referred to me as Uncle George/Uncle Archon for *years*. Not all of them were teenies, and certainly none of them were actually nephews.

Now, my question is: Is it time to start buying chunky-knit sweaters?
