May. 3rd, 2005 05:55 pmMore good news/Bad news!
Okay,
Bad news: I didn't get that job.
Good news: I put in a very strong interview, sufficiently that my boss couldn't give much useful feedback -- It was all excellent and the person who got it got it because of some *slightly* more relevant experience. Go me.
Bad news: Okay, there is no more bad news, so sue me.
Good news: I GOT A PERMANENT JOB ANYWAY! -- After much prevarication on the University's part (budgets have just been slashed and departments' recruitment has been frozen) I have just signed the contract and will be taken on FULL-TIME doing the Helpdesk work (in the Library and the main Computing facility) that I'm loving AS PERMANENT STAFF from the first of June.
Woo! <bounce>
I rock!

Welcome Aboard
Date: 2005-05-04 01:27 pm (UTC)It took me over 4 years before being offered a *Permanent* full-time job, you've done it in under a year. You obviously know folk in very high places.
I just wished they hadn't put you through the anguish over the last two weeks as it's put quite a strain on your other half.
